Meet Dr. Ahnee Min, WellSet's acupressure & Chinese Medicine instructor. Ahnee  is a licensed acupuncturist specializing in women's health, fertility, pain management, sleep and digestive disorders, mind-body therapies, and facial rejuvenation. She received her doctorate degree at the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and has an established clinic in San Francisco. Ahnee provides a whole-person approach to health and wellness, incorporating nutrition, emotional well-being, and self-healing modalities like Qi Gong to create internal harmony and balance. Dr. Ahnee also helps people feel and look their best with Mai Zen facial acupuncture, gua sha and cupping!

Q: Why are you such a proponent of Traditional Chinese Medicine practices like gua sha, acupuncture, acupressure and qigong?
A: Traditional Chinese medicine is both complex yet utterly simple. It's an ancient medicine based on the principle of restoring balance.  When we are in balance, our body systems flow naturally and function as they should without issue.  Therapies like acupuncture, gua sha, acupressure, or qi gong are all about moving energy, removing blockages, increasing blood flow, and returning our bodies to their natural order.  Because our health and wellness is intricately connected to mind, body and spirit, all these therapies open the pathways for that natural healing to happen.

Q: How can members expect to feel after taking your classes?
A: You can expect to feel inspired and motivated to take charge of your health and wellness. My classes provide a framework and a path forward to tackling health goals, whether it's managing a current health concern or becoming the best version of yourself.

Q: What are you most looking forward to about teaching with WellSet?
A: I'm looking forward to building community and creating inspiration and hope for what health and wellness truly is. I'm also looking forward to learning the needs of this community, hearing member stories, and providing not only tools, knowledge, and ideas to support them, but most of all making it fun!

Q: Any expert tips for members trying TCM practices at home during your class?
A:
Three helpful tips for members trying TCM practices at home are:

1) Set an intention at the start of your class.  By bringing awareness to our goals and what we hope to achieve, we can actualize it!

2) Be patient and allow the therapies to take hold in their own time. Sometimes it may feel like nothing is changing, but in time you may start to find beauty in the process, peace in the stillness, and nourishment from intention.

3) Consistency is key. By cultivating a self-care practice on a weekly or daily basis we can reprogram our thoughts and experience remarkable transformations!

Q: What brings you joy?
A: I find tremendous joy in helping others and empowering those that are struggling with health issues. I enjoy educating our communities about the importance of being proactive with our health and how Chinese medicine works!  I also find joy in connecting with others and creating community, because if I can make even just one person feel seen, heard, and part of something special, it could change the trajectory of their life and the lives around them!
